The Process

Initially, we conducted extensive UX research to pinpoint users' pain points and identify opportunities to improve for the MVP. Our UX research consisted of audits, persona development, journey mapping, best practices, workshops, and trends. This helped us immensely when moving on to the next phase - wireframing and visuals.

Site Builder Dashboard

The site builder dashboard is where distributors can access everything on one page and is the back-end platform of their business. Users can access the website builder, send invitations to customers, promote their products, and change their settings. In this instance, the distributor migrated from the previous site and need to finish setup of their new site.

Recommended Cart

One of the features that a Distributor can customize and offer to their customers are recommended carts. Distributors can recommend a pre-filled cart tailored to the customer's needs. This will help the customer save time and they can place the order from there.

Create Bundles

Distributors can also create, edit, and preview their customized bundles in the Site Builder platform. These bundles contain products that are tailored to the customer's goals. User can customize the image, title, goal. Take a peek through this prototype to understand how bundle creation works.

My Homepage

Another way for a customer to make a purchase is by connecting with a distributor (DS) - someone who sells HL products. The DS Homepage is a distributor's store, where their customers can purchase through them and view their content. A distributor can create their own site via the MyHL platform - a backend platform that helps them build their e-commerce stores to life.

Design System

Our studio integrated Microsoft's Fluent UI into our designs and added Herbalife's brand guidelines into the mix. We made sure to develop any additional necessary components that were specific to the Site Builder's experience.

Takeaways

Similarly to the brand site, we had a strong cross-functional team consisting of creative directors, designers, copywriters, business analysts, and a project manager who worked closely together to make this project successful. I was involved in the project from the initial stages of UX research all the way to the maintenance of the visual design. This experience taught me a lot about the B2B2C experience as well as solving problems for niche challenges.
